Paige worked as a staff reporter for the Door County Advocate for 5 years. The Advocate is a bi-weekly newspaper with 150 years of continuous publication history. Her beat coverage included: 19 municipalities (towns and villages) and local government, Education, City of Sturgeon Bay, Environmental impacts, Business, Feature Obituaries.
Her freelance work has been published in the daily USA Today, Green Bay Press Gazette, the weekly Peninsula Pulse, and other regional and state publications owned by Gannett. She was awarded for her journalism with First, Second, Third and Honorable Mention awards for Breaking News, Education, Obituaries, and Agriculture, and Integration of Digital Media into News.

Paige freelanced for this magazine while working for Door County Advocate newspaper and after. Unfortunately, Gannett is no longer hosting articles online, and has discontinued publishing the magazine.
